I was speaking with someone yesterday who has perfectionist tendencies. A high quality individual who always does a brilliant job and his business is in the middle of an important “pivot”.
Here’s the thing….the pivot needs to happen fairly quickly yet the natural pace of this person is to take time and plan things out. Do you recognise this in yourself?
I challenged him using by asking “when you go for a drive into town do you only start the journey when you know all the traffic lights are at green?”
You’ll never be able to plan with 100% certainty. Trust yourself that if the pivot has to happen, you’ve got the skills to make it work….and one of those skills is the ability to adapt!
